Our international conferences form an amazing legacy since our first meeting in 1962 in Turin, Italy — ISTVS is a small, connected group of professionals from industry, universities, and research institutions who have been meeting over five decades to share research findings.
The 13th European Conference of the ISTVS will provide you a place where you can exchange ideas and information on the current research and technology developments in the field of terramechanics and terrain-machine systems.
Program highlights
Day 1. The conference begins Tuesday evening with our ever-popular Ice Breaker Party — you’ll have the opportunity to interact informally with colleagues from all over the world.
Day 2-3. Enjoy presentations and plenary sessions, including our awards programs and meals over Wednesday-Friday.
Day 4. The conference concludes with our valuable all-day technical tour, location to be decided from the many options in the vicinity of Rome.

Recent Conferences
ISTVS 18th International Conference, Seoul, Korea, September 22-25, 2014
An amazing legacy of international conferences since our first meeting in 1962 in Turin, Italy continued in Saptember 2014. Our connected group of professionals from industry, universities, and research institutions met again, this time in Seoul, Korea, to share research findings.
The 18th International Conference of the ISTVS provided a place where our colleagues could exchange ideas and information on the current research and technology developments in the field of terramechanics and terrain-machine systems.
Program highlights
Day 1. The conference began Sunday evening with our ever-popular Ice Breaker Party — the opportunity to interact informally with colleagues from all over the world.
Day 2-4. Attendees enjoyed presentations and plenary sessions, including our awards programs and meals Monday through Wednesday.
Day 5. The conference concluded with our valuable all-day technical tour: we were pleased to be welcomed for a plant tour by LS Mtron, one of the largest tractor manufacturers in Korea, at their facility LS Tractor, located about 250 km southwest of Seoul.
