Our ISTVS becomes 56 years old this year. As is well known, when we compare to a lifetime of human, 56 years implies nearing retirement age. Therefore, it is quite natural that it might suffer such “lifestyle diseases” as reduction of total number of members, reduced presentations at international conferences, and so on. We have been discussing how to overcome them and make the ISTVS active again in recent Board of Directors meetings. Followings are two new initiatives we are taking based on the recent discussion at our meeting at the Kyoto conference over the summer.
