12th Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting

We are pleased to share this announcement of the 12th Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting hosted by Dan Negrut and Radu Serban at the Simulation-Based Engineering Lab at University of Wisconsin-Madison. A number of our ISTVS colleagues are speaking this year, including ISTVS President Corina Sandu, one of our ISTVS2024 conference co-chairs, Genya Ishigami, and Professor Mehari Tekeste.

For a taste of the research being done at SBEL, Dan Negrut joined us earlier this year for a ISTVS Digital Event Series talk now posted to the ISTVS YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/jZ28oxZIMO4

Dear Colleague,

Together with my lab mate Radu Serban, I would like to invite you to attend the 12th edition of the Machine-Ground Interaction Consortium (MaGIC) meeting. This face-to-face event will be held on September 11-12 at UW-Madison.

For a historical perspective on the meeting, please visit: https://sbel.wisc.edu/magic. This year, we will emphasize AI and Digital Twin technologies in terramechanics, mechatronics, autonomy, and bio-robotics, touching on both terrestrial and extraterrestrial applications. This is a very informal event that seeks to bring together individuals from industry, academia, and research labs. It takes place in a pre-competitive setup and is meant to serve as an applied computing idea marketplace, facilitating technology transfer and promoting industry-academia cross-pollination.

Here’s the *tentative* list of speakers, listed alphabetically:

We will reach out with more details by mid-August.

For now, we encourage you to register for the event, please see here: https://charge.wisc.edu/GraingerInstitute/magic

We would love to host you in Madison in September!!!

Dan & Radu
